Prenatal Yoga

What a wonderful, special time for mothers-to-be and their precious bundles of life they are carrying!  This class is especially designed to strengthen, as well as to relax the body and to prepare it for childbirth. The poses are designed to help ease the discomforts of a healthy pregnancy. Yoga will develop trust in the wisdom of one’s own body and in the birthing process itself.  It will deepen the bond between mom and baby. Focus will be on the breath as well as learning to relax on command, which will be needed during labor and delivery. The poses are modified for each trimester. Classes are taught in the supportive community of other women sharing in this miraculous journey of birth.  This class is for healthy pregnancies  that are in their second and third trimester only and a signed release form from your physician/midwife is required.
