Yin Yoga is the cooling, quiet, meditative compliment to the more vigorous, hot vinyasa practice. It works to stretch the deep connective tissues of the body that tend to act like “shrink-wrap” around our joints as we age. Yin improves range of motion and releases energetic blockages. It focuses primarily on the hips, pelvis and spine and the postures are held anywhere from three to ten minutes.
