Yoga Flow

The practice of Yoga is well-demonstrated to reduce the physical effects of stress on the body. Stress is the leading health-related disorder in America today! Our fast-paced lives include a wide variety of stressors. Typical symptoms which are commonly linked to stress include impatience, anxiety, insomnia, and constipation. In Yoga Flow, we  connect the breath and the physical postures of Yoga in a gentle flow to help reduce muscular tension which, in turn, reduces stress. And, by incorporating balance poses to help focus the mind, stress inducers are pushed out of the mind. Through breathing techniques, we teach how smooth, steady breathing helps to reduce stress and teach how to increase lung capacity to bring more oxygen to the blood and to the brain. Meditation & Relaxation follows the Yoga practice where Guided Imagery is used to bring the body and mind into a state of peaceful relaxation. You’ll leave this class feeling relaxed, yet energized and better equipped to handle the stressors in your life.
